We are a Christian church which began in February 2012 in the suburb of Box Hill.
We began meeting together with the express purpose of connecting with people in the area who have no Christian background or no understanding of the Christian message. We did this because we believe that the good news about what Jesus has done for this world is critically important for all to hear. We came together to start a church to help one another spread this news.
We are a member church of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches.
No matter who you are, or what your background is, we'd love to meet you and connect with you.
Tim became a Christian at the age of 19 through the university Christian movement. He became captivated by Jesus: the things he did, the things he said, the way he treated others and the claims he made about himself. He is passionate about Jesus
Tim is married to Belinda and together they were the founding pastors of the church. In addition to the church they have 3 children together; Connor, Sebastian and Estelle. Prior to being involved in Grace Christian Community, Tim worked as a town planner for the City of Whitehorse and then as a Staffworker for the RMIT Christian Union (AFES). In 2011 he completed a 4 year degree at Moore Theological College in Sydney.
Before becoming a ministry apprentice, Edwin worked as a freelance bassoonist and pianist. He loves all things music related, particularly jamming with friends and karaoke. He also enjoys board games, meaningful conversations and hot drinks.
